The Fund Raising Committee
takes responsibility for those activities connected with the monetary
part of making spay/neuter the solution to reducing dog and cat overpopulation.
They work with the Treasurer in order to keep full accountability in
keeping with M-SNAP's non-profit status. Their goal is to bring in money
and other valuable tangibles or services for use by M-SNAP in promoting
its mission by:
identifying ongoing fund-raising endeavors such as the annual fund,
endowment, and capital campaigns;
identifying opportunities
for local fund-raising, such as auctions, dinners, and merchandise sales,
organizing volunteers to run them, monitoring their progress, and submitting
reports on each event;
identifying and
organizing non-monetary donor opportunities to collect goods/services
useful to furthering M-SNAP goals, either directly or by conversion
to funds;
establishing a
list of donors/patrons - individuals who are in step with M-SNAP's goals
and who can contribute monetary or non-monetary assets - and maintaining
a positive relationship with each contact;
researching and
identifying grants, collecting necessary data, preparing and submitting
applications, according to individual foundation guidelines and deadlines;
and participating
in fund raising events in connection with community outreach activities.
